“Thomas, kenapa kamu belum berangkat ke pertemuan para pangeran?” tanya Ibu Suri. “Pertemuan apa, Ibunda?” ujar Pangeran Thomas dengan wajah kebingungan balik bertanya. (“Thomas, why haven’t you left for the meeting of the princes?” asks the God Mother. “What meeting, Mother?” Prince Thomas replies with a question in confusion.)

Ia pun bergegas memanggil tabib istana. (Prince Thomas has been pondering in his room since the morning. He seems to be lacking focus and doesn’t know what to do. His eyes stare empty as he looks into the woods from the room balcony. God Mother is worried about the prince. She then rushes to call the palace shaman.)

“Tabib, ada apa gerangan dengan anakku?” tanya Ibu Suri cemas. Tabib lalu memeriksa tubuh Pangeran Thomas. (“Healer, what has happened to my son?” asks the concerned God Mother. The shaman then examines Prince Thomas’ body.)

“Sepertinya, Pangeran terkena sihir dari penghuni hutan depan istana,” ujar Tabib sambil mengeluarkan ramuan anti sihirnya. (“It appears that the Prince has been cursed with a spell from the forest dwellers just outside the palace,” says the Shaman as he pulls out a magic potion.)

Ramuan itu pun diberikan kepada Pangeran Thomas. Tak lama kemudian, ia tertidur pulas. Ibu Suri pun senang, anak kesayangannya bisa kembali pulih. (The potion is then given to Prince Thomas. Not long after, he is fast asleep. The God Mother is happy, her favorite child will be alright.)

(In the afternoon, Prince Thomas awakes from his sleep and rushes to the garden. “God Mother, why are all the princes are gathering in the palace?” asks Prince Thomas to his mother.)

Ibu Suri terkejut mendengar pertanyaan putra kesayangannya. Ternyata, ingatan putranya belum pulih. “Dayang Lucy, kemana lagi aku harus mencari tabib untuk menghilangkan kelinglungan Pangeran Thomas?” tanya Ibu Suri pada dayangnya. (God Mother is surprised to hear his favorite son’s question. Apparently, his memories aren’t back yet. “Servant Lucy, where else must I find a shaman to cure Prince Thomas’ confusion?” God Mother asks her servant.)

“Ibu Suri, sebenarnya Pangeran tidak terkena sihir. Tapi, ia hanya kekurangan minum air putih saja,” jawab Dayang Lucy spontan. “Kenapa bisa begitu?” tanya Ibu Suri heran. (“God Mother, actually there is no spell casted to the Prince. But, he simply lacking fresh water,” replies Servant Lucy. “How come?” asks God Mother, curious.)

“Sudah tiga hari, saya lihat Pangeran tidak minum air putih. Tubuh Pangeran kekurangan cairan dan membuatnya kurang konsentrasi. Sehingga ia mudah linglung,” terang Dayang Lucy. (“It has been three days since I last see the Prince drank fresh water. The Prince’s body must be dehydrated and causing him to lack focus. This makes him weary,” explains Servant Lucy.)

Dayang Lucy lalu membawakan dua gelas air putih. Pangeran Thomas langsung meminumnya. “Ibunda, aku mulai mengingat semuanya,” ujar Pangeran Thomas riang. Ibu Suri pun kembali senang ternyata putra kesayangannya tidak terkena sihir. Tapi karena kekurangan minum saja.   (Servant Lucy then brings two glasses of fresh water. Prince Thomas drinks them right away. “Mother, I’m beginning to remember it all,” says Prince Thomas happily. God Mother is now happy that his favorite son never did catch a spell. But he only didn’t drink as much.)  (Cerita: Just For Kids/ Ilustrasi: Just For Kids/ Translator: Yos)
